We are seeking expressions of interest from an internal medicine specialist wanting to join our team in the beautiful Eastern Suburbs area of Sydney. You will be working closely with a supportive and professional team of specialists, interns, and nurses with advanced specialty training, working in a dynamic, fast-paced, satisfying, and collaborative team environment.
About us
Sydney Veterinary Emergency & Specialists is a 1000m2 purpose-built facility which in conjunction with our exceptional staff allows us to provide excellent care to patients. The referral team comprises of surgical, medicine, anaesthesia, imaging, dermatology and oncology specialists. The emergency service is a 24 hour a day service with a team of experienced and supportive Vets. Our people are important to us and we want our workplace to be a happy place where we share a goal of exceptional patient and client care. We are looking for a caring and professional internal medicine specialist with a positive outlook and approach to join the team on a part-time or full-time basis.

About this role
In this role, you will have access to various diagnostic equipment, including AGFA digital radiography, Philips Affinity and CX-50 ultrasounds, 16-slice GE Lightspeed CT, Olympus and Pentax endoscopy, full IDEXX internal laboratory, ventilators, and more. We also have ready access to same-day MRI.
We aim for clinical excellence within a working environment that promotes and encourages collegiality and communication. We are seeking an Internist who is looking for adventure and wants to work with our amazing team, interest in interventional procedures would be welcomed. While this is a permanent opportunity for employment, we are open to conversations about short or long-term contracts.
About you
To be successful in this role, it is important that you are a qualified specialist, having achieved diplomate or equivalent status (ACVS / ECVS / FANZCVS), and that your qualification will be eligible for Specialist Registration with the Australian Veterinary Board Council. You are welcome to email us for more information about this, or you can refer directly to the guidelines of the Veterinary Practitioners Board of NSW. Applications from residency trained candidates will also be considered.
